Marin Gourmet’s ‘farm to table’ philosophy began over twenty years ago
with founder and matriarch Affi. It was her passion to create fresh,
healthy foods with the fantastic flavors of the Mediterranean, from where
she immigrated over thirty years ago. Today, the company is run by Affi’s
son, and remains a family business committed to creating all natural,
fresh, vegan products made from all natural, fresh, mostly local produce.
Affi’s most beloved recipe, ‘Aubergine’ continues as our best seller.
It is made by mesquite grilling Rosa Bianca, American Beauty, and a
variety of other eggplants and combining them with roasted whole garlic
and double pressed olive oil. This delicious recipe has been the
foundation and trademark of our company since its inception in the San
Francisco Bay Area. After the success of Aubergine, and identifying a need
for protein and nutrients, Affi created the recipe for our Caper Hummus.
We sprout our own garbanzo beans, maximizing nutritional benefits from the
beans. We add capers and lemon juice to create a tangy and uniquely
blended dip. It was Affi’s belief that freshness of the product would be
the key to its success, and we continue to agree with her philosophy.
